Mandy's-Farm---under-14

Program Description

Eligible participants for residential services at Mandy’s Farm would be individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities who are 18 or older and are currently enrolled in the State of NM Developmental Disabilities Waiver Program (DD Waiver).

People 18 years of age and older with a developmental disability, who have access to customized in-home support services through the DD Waiver

Type of Experience

Mandy’s Farm currently provides Supported Living in three homes located in the Albuquerque/South Valley area.  These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days per year and are individualized to the service and support needs of the individual.  Each home is leased to the individual residents and they guide and direct their services in their homes in accordance with their Individual Service Plans developed in conjunction with their Interdisciplinary Team.  The intent of residential services is to provide healthy and safe opportunities for individuals to live in their own home, engage in their communities and develop meaningful relationships with others with and without disabilities.

Eileen Nelson joined Mandy’s Farm as a DSP in 2015 and has worked in and excelled at many roles. Since day one she has dedicated herself to the individuals at Mandy’s Farm, and her journey is fueled by a deep commitment to fostering independence, dignity, and inclusion. Working for Mandy’s has enriched her understanding of compassion, resilience, and the transformative power of empathy. Her goals are to help our individuals grow to be more successful and independent in their own lives. She looks forward to continuing to advocate for and enhance the lives of those we serve.
